Thesis topics
The Stępień Group invites
students of all years to participate in academic-level research. Individual students, B.Sc., and M.Sc. degree students can develop their expertise in the following research fields:
- advanced synthetic methods of aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds
- NMR spectroscopy, including 2D and variable-temperature methods
- physical organic chemistry of π-conjugated systems
Examples of research topics:
- Strained end-cap aromatics. Transitio metal-mediated synthesis.
- Modified coronenes and azacoronenes. Synthesis and properties.
- Extensively conjugated oligopyrroles. Synthesis and optical properties.
